Hyundai PA, i10 coming 2007-end
Hyundai is releasing another made for India car this year end which will be positioned between Santro and getz. The car is designed by Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL). The i10 which is code-named PA will be slightly shorter than the current Santro, will sport a 1.1 litre engine but will also have a higher engine and diesel option, which ofcourse will have some tight competition.
Hyundai feels that Pa will drive the growth from India increasing volumes to around 2.5 lakh units per annum by 2009.The company is also building its second plant near Chennai, which will raise Hyundia’s total production capacity to six lakh units from the current three lakh units. Probably, With this car Hyundai is again planning to slowly replace the santro like it did to Accent with Verna.
